I just wanted to let everyone know that I’ve just disproved a popular saying:
When you’re smiling, the whole world smiles with you
Well, I just smiled, and at the time I happened to be looking at a live feed from a webcam in the Ukraine. I was watching an elderly homeless woman who looked cold and hungry and was also missing an arm. She had a small piece of some sort of meat in her hand and a bottle of Colt 45 sitting on the ground beside her. All of the sudden a stray dog came up to her and bit her twice and peed on her blanket before stealing her food and knocking over her malt liquor while he escaped.
At that moment I just happened to be smiling because I thought of the cartoon where I’m intimate with an Aardvark, and I could see clearly that the beggar woman was not smiling back.I was confused, so I thought of the time that my friend had a rat jump on his foot and bite him a bunch of times, which made me smile again, thinking that this would make her smile too, thus improving her day a little. It would be my good deed for the day. But again…she didn’t smile back.
So either this happens to be one of the most selfish homeless people I’ve ever had the misfortune to come across, or I just disproved a timeless saying.
They should name something after me.
