Man Sues After Parlor Misspells His Tattoo

(AP) A man is suing a tattoo artist and tattoo parlor for allegedly misspelling a tattoo on his chest that was dedicated to the city.

I wonder if he lives in LA and they accidentally tattooed AL, or AOL, or ALF. Perhaps his wife didn’t like the Alice tattoo instead of Dallas. Or maybe he didn’t think having Priss was very manly, when what he really yearned for was a Paris tattoo. His pride for Miami might not be enough to console him into being ok with a Mami tattoo, or even a Mimi tattoo. He probably said Little Rock, not thinking he’d get a tattoo saying Little Cock. Perhaps he was upset that since he lived in West Virginia, his tattoo said West Virginia.

Michael Duplessis alleges the tattoo was supposed to read CHI-TOWN in capital letters. But he says it came out with town spelled T-O-N-W.

He has nobody but himself to blame for going to a place called the Dislecsick Tatoo Palror.

Duplessis is suing for monetary damages for the tattoo he alleges he received from Jade Dragon Tattoo and Body Piercing, at 5331 W. Belmont Ave.

He should have just gotten the tattoo in Chinese letters, that way the only people who would be laughing at him would be Chinese people and anyone else who thinks that getting a city name tattooed on your chest is funny.

In the lawsuit he says he’s suffered “emotional distress from public ridicule.”

Maybe the public ridicule has to do with the fact that he wears Regal Beagle style shirts unzipped down to his belly button so that people can see the silly tattoo on his chest.

The lawsuit was filed earlier this month in Cook County Circuit Court.

Duplessis — who is a mechanic — says he paid $250 for the 2005 tattoo.

You’d think that someone with the last name Duplessis would be teaching trig at MIT instead of doing oil changes at Valvoline.

The owner of the tattoo parlor couldn’t reached for comment.

There’s a shocker.
